Labyrinth compressorSealing Principle of Labyrinth Compressor With a certain small gap, a small volume of the gas flows from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side through various throttle points. When passing through each throttle point,the gas converts the pressure energy into kinetic energy. When the gas enters the tooth socket, the cubage suddenly enlarges; so the gas velocity drops rapidly (to nearly zero) part of its kinetic energy is converted into thermal energy, and the other part is converted into vortex energy. After continuous uniform distribution of throttling and repeated actions of the tooth socket chambers, the pressure of the leaked gas is reduced to be same with that at low pressure side, which meets the requirement of air tightness. ![]()
